The Rick Perry Response.

For any of you who have seen Rick Perry's campaign adds on youtube, have you noticed that they're getting tons of feedback? I believe it's because of people like me. I refuse to sit down and take what he's saying. So I make a parody.

Now for any of you who haven't seen Rick Perry's "Strong" campaign add, let me give you a little bit of insight.

In less than one minute, Rick Perry manages to degrade the LGBTQ community, proclaim a war on religion in America, introduce his ideas about encorporating church into state, and over-all, making himself look like a complete idiot.

I want to explain a little bit more about my video, because people are posting comments and getting excited over certain things that I've said in the video.

1: First, attacking my appearance isn't going to do anybody any good. So stop it.
2: When I say "30% of the population", I'm not specifically reffering to homosexuals. I'm also reffering to bisexuals, transgendered, and questioning people, along with their allies. Does that make a little bit more sense?

I have a few questions for those of you out there.
When you were in elementary schools, didn't you have holiday parties, where Christmas was involved? All throughout your schooling, don't you have a Christmas break?
I don't know where Rick Perry is getting the idea that it is restricted to celebrate these certain holidays in school.
When he says that children can't pray in school, I'd also like to point out that they are not able to meditate in school. Buddhist children do not practice their religion in school. Muslim children do not engage in their ritual prayer when they are in our schools. Why give special treatment to Christian children?
I also think that Perry discounts the amount of Christian schools in our nations. It is absolutely a possibility for parents to send their children to Christian schools. If the parents or the children want to encorporate religion into their learning, send then to a specialized school. My own mother went to a catholic school. It really isn't that difficult.
For the rest of us who may not be religious, don't force it down our throats. Not only is it not your responsibility to guide us to what path we are to walk, it is not up to educators to take on the role of religious leaders.
THERE IS A REASON CHURCH AND STATE WERE SEPARATED.
And for those of you who argue against my point about church and state, I encourage you to understand the basis on which your country was founded. Don't you know that your founders were escaping England because of religious persecution?

As far as the discrimination goes, I'm putting my voice out there. I don't care if you don't like gays. That's fine with me. I'm not asking you to be gay like me, so quit telling me to be a Christian like you.
